What does success look like to you?
Success means that I’m embracing my full, authentic self and doing what I love. And when I’m free to be myself and I can walk in my purpose. Success means I’ve found my niche that I absolutely enjoy while making an impact to my community.
What is the name of your business? What type of business is it?
I named my business Genesys Fitness. I created it in April 2015. Genesys Fitness is a health and wellness company that partners with its clients to provide strategies to achieve weight loss goals.
What made you choose this type of business?
Genesys Fitness was a natural choice for me. I’d been a Zumba Fitness instructor and decided to earn my certification as a personal trainer and nutrition coach.
Does your company help the community where it is located?
Absolutely! I’ve partnered with several organizations throughout the city and participated in a variety of projects. From donating school supplies to supporting charities that serve our veterans, my goal has always been to serve others.
What would you say is your most driving motivation to keep doing what you to do?
My most driving motivation is knowing that there’s more than I want to accomplish. There’s always an idea that pops in my mind and I become excited about the possibilities. And with each new idea, it’s opens a new lane for me.

Have you ever turned down a client?
Yes. During my initial consultation with a prospective client, I recall asking her to describe her habits and desire to improve her diet. Over the course of the conversation, she showed little interest in taking ownership for her part of the process. She wanted quick fixes and I wasn’t willing to make unrealistic promises. I trusted my intuition and opted not to work with her.
What’s next for you in your business/brand? What can readers look forward to from you?
Next on the horizon is I’m working on an E-book and an accompanying workbook. I’m also working on developing content for a YouTube channel.
What’s your ideal client?
Many of my clients similar traits. She’s a beautiful and selfless spirit who, in everything she does, puts others needs ahead of her own. She often placed everyone else’s needs above her own. My ideal client recognizes that she’s ready for a transformation and wants to rediscover who she is.
