  • At what moment did you realize you held a gift for writing?

I realized I held the gift of writing at the age of eight. I started off writing poems and short stories. My imagination was vivid, and I found writing was a way to set it free.

  • What is the inspiration behind your book “Ruth Ready”?

The inspiration behind Ruth Ready came from constantly hearing women say they were waiting on their Boaz and realizing there was a misconception of who Boaz was and what he represented. After talking with a few ladies, I began to understand they did not understand Ruth’s’ role and the question popped in my head, but are they Ruth Ready?

  • You hold many titles: Life Coach, Minister, CEO and Author, how do you balance it all?

Not to mention I’m a wife, the founder of a Youth Organization and I have a regular job that I work daily (Smile). I find that if I prioritize each day by creating a to-do list it helps me to stay focused on what needs my attention the most and work my way down from there.

  • How has your faith played a role in where you are today with entrepreneurship?

My faith is the core of all that I do because it helps me to go beyond hope. Hope lives in the mind, but faith lives in the heart and spirit. It is my faith that allows me to bring everything to life and when things don’t seem to be going right, it’s my faith that reminds me things will get better as long as I don’t give up.

  • What message do you hope women gain from your work?

The message I would like women to get from all that I do is to stay healthy, aim high, be brave and care deeply about what you believe in. Develop your voice and let others hear you!

  • What is next for you?

I have some previous books that I need to re-publish. However, my imagination is thriving again and I’m thinking of writing a novel. Honestly, I don’t know what’s next, I am staying open and allowing God to show me where to go from here.

Bonus: What is your definition of a “Pretty Women Who Hustle’s”?

My definition of “Pretty Women Hustle” is a woman who is a go-getter and knows her strength. She is determined to go after what God has planned for her unapologetically.
