Karen created PeachSkinSheets out of her own need for a product that didn’t exist: comfortable, breathable sheets under $100.
When researching the existing sheets on the market, Karen kept seeing the same problems over and over again. Hundreds of sheets were not soft upon opening the package—they required several trips through the washing machine to research her desired level of comfort.
Additionally, tons of sheets trapped heat and lacked the cooling, breathable quality she was looking for. In the rare case that a sheet set met these requirements, the price tag was at least $200-$300.
In 2013, PeachSkinSheets was born.
With dedication, perseverance, and extensive research, Karen created the first-ever luxury sheets at affordable prices. She ensured that the sheets were soft immediately upon arrival, breathable, temperature regulated, durable, and pill-resistant.
Today, PeachSkinSheets is a powerhouse brand with Southern Roots.
You’ve had a successful 2022, what has happened with PeachSkinSheets?
In 2022, our growth really exploded with the unbelievable amount of media coverage and continued word of mouth. We have been featured on GMA, The View, The Emmys, and major publications including Pretty Woman Hustle Magazine, Men’s Journal, Martha Stewart, and Oprah Magazine’s Holiday Gift Guide to name a few. Referral business is also a key component of our rapid growth. After discovering a product they love, women, in particular, bring their entire network of family and friends into the loop. All of a sudden, their parents, children, best friends, and neighbors hear about PeachSkinSheets and then the cycle continues with each of those individuals. We are fortunate to have a very viral product that truly hits the mark with 24 colors, unmatched softness, athletic grade performance fabric for hot sleepers, and a price point that provides affordable luxury. It’s also about the entire customer journey, from receiving their order quickly, to the unboxing experience, and a responsive customer support team. All of these factors have enabled us to quickly build our fan base, and the brand has really taken on a life of its own.

What lessons have you learned with your incredible growth?
Growing fast is exciting, but it does have its challenges. You have to be able to forecast and manage inventory strategically so that you don’t run out of key sizes and colors. Increased sales are great, but you have to keep your shelves stocked to meet the new demand. Add in the current supply chain issues, and there is a lot to manage in terms of timing, cash flow, physical warehouse space, and ordering supplies like boxes. More sales also mean more orders to process and ship, so increasing manpower becomes yet another variable.
Tell us about your new June Collection, Pumpkin, Vanilla, Sage, and Mocha.
Our Colors of the Month feature a palette of 3-4 colors chosen from our 24 shades, rotate monthly, and are priced at more than 20% off. Usually, they are inspired by the season or holidays. It’s all about the tropics and summer with June’s feature colors Pumpkin Spice, Vanilla Bean, Sage Green, and Light Mocha. The Pumpkin was chosen for its terra cotta shade, think clay tile roofs in tropical climates. Vanilla Bean is a favorite ice cream flavor, Sage Green matches palm trees and foliage, and Light Mocha is a deeper khaki which is a perfect color for a safari theme or even campfire s’mores.
What have you enjoyed the most during your journey?
Most of all, I have enjoyed making a positive difference in our customers’ lives. The level to which our product significantly improves the quality of their sleep, moods, and overall health was totally unexpected when I started this company nine years ago. Hot sleepers now have relief, cool sleepers have coziness, and everyone has softness at a price that does not break the bank. The world definitely became a happier place with more well-rested people, at least in the world of PeachSkinSheets customers!
Where do you see your brand in 2023?
Oh, we have such exciting plans for 2023! New products, new colors, and even new patterns. Both we and our customers are ready for us to take PeachSkinSheets to the next level. In the meantime, keep sleeping peachy, and stay tuned!
