For Women’s History Month I will be sharing the stories that define and provide examples of women empowerment, uplifting stories of personal triumph and businesses that are inspiring and are making a difference for women. Women’s History Month is a declared month each year that highlights the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society.
I want to introduce you to Chloe, Software Engineer & Personal Finance Blogger.
Chloe is a software engineer working in Southern California. She has a passion for personal finance and blogs about this at Off Hour Hustle. In her free time she enjoys climbing, hiking, and skating.

Here is HERstory:
I am a second generation Korean American born and raised in Seattle, WA. My parents raised me always teaching me the importance of education, self care, money management, and relationships. These helped me form the core pillars of who I am today. A couple years ago, I moved to Southern California and currently work as a software engineer. I am also a personal finance blogger at Off Hour Hustle. Growing up, I was always taught the importance of money management and wealth building and realized that I was privileged to be taught this at a young age. I also realized that a simple 9-5 job would not cut it for what I wanted to do in life. I was always working side hustles and making extra money. I wanted to share my knowledge of personal finance and side hustles to others through my blog.
Here business is Off Hour Hustle.
What does women empowerment mean to you?
Women empowerment is about lifting other women higher. It’s about helping women succeed and understanding the value of our contributions to society.
What advice or words of inspiration would you like to share with someone?
Don’t ever compare yourself to others. Work hard and success will follow. Always remember to enjoy life no matter what you do.

What does self care mean to you?
Self care means that you are making your health and well-being a priority. You can’t be successful or take care of others without taking care of yourself first. Remember to eat healthy, exercise, and take care of your mental health.
When did you realize entrepreneurship was right for you?
I realized entrepreneurship was right for me when I started working a 9-5 job. I was working day in and day out to build someone else’s business while getting the same pay everyday. I wanted to start and grow my own business so that I would see a direct correlation with my business’s growth and my contributions.
Why did you choose entrepreneurship?
I chose to be an entrepreneur because I wanted to be my own boss. When you’re an entrepreneur, everything is 100% within your control. Your failures and your successes are all on you.
What would you say is your most driving motivation to keep doing what you to do?
My most driving motivation to keep what I do is my family and friends that support me. They push me to do better and believe in me, even when I may not believe in myself.

What are you most excited or passionate about? (In both business and life or both)
I love talking about personal finance! I’m a strong believer that your money should be working for you at all times. I’m excited to see technology and finance come together and shape the future.
What’s next for you in your business/brand? What can readers look forward to from you?
The next step for Off Hour Hustle is to offer courses or presentations related to personal finance. I want to help everyone make good financial decisions as early as possible to streamline their way towards financial freedom. I’ll also be offering digital downloads to calculate your net worth and debt payoff so stay tuned!
