Patrice: Tell the readers more about yourself.

Renata: My name is Renata Eileena founder & CEO of Possible Cosmetics. A luxury cosmetic line based out of Philadelphia!

Patrice: What makes you a pretty woman that hustle?

Renata: What makes me a pretty woman that hustle is that I honestly believe that all things are possible! Not only do I believe it is possible, but I get up every day put one foot in front to make sure the impossible happens! Most time hustling is not pretty but when its time I make it look good (I hope anyway) lol

Patrice: What is the name of your business and what does it intel?

Renata: Ok so I have both I am a published author my debut book launched in early 2018 entitled “7 things you need to do to launch your cosmetic line” this book is good for entrepreneurs who would like to start their own cosmetic line! It is truly helped many start their own beauty line. My business is Possible Cosmetics started in 2016 at the King of Prussia mall while there we became the first and only black own line to launch in the second largest mall in America.

Patrice: Have you faced any challenges in your business?

Renata: Ahh man SO many to count lol! I have come across so many challenges from having my website taken down, customers disputing charges that they did purchase! To trouble with employees, funding, manufacturing issues but I will say even with all those challenges we have overcome all of them all.

Patrice: Are you currently working on new projects?

Renata: Yes! My biggest project right now is the relaunching of my brand Possible Cosmetics. During covid we took a 6 -month break! Since our start in 2016 we have never took a break at all. We took a step back to rebrand, restructure & refocus and now we are coming back April 1st and I really could not be more excited!!!

Patrice: How do you face diversity as a woman/man entrepreneur/author?

Renata: Diversity is extremely important I am in the beauty industry we are women of all races. Patrice: Is balancing your personal life, work life and business life difficult for you at times?

Renata: YES! Lol it is hard it seems like it is not enough time in the day! Especially now that we are coming back from our hiatus. I had 6 months to “relax” but now that we are gearing up for our relaunch I will have to get back used to the balancing act!

Patrice: What does being an entrepreneur or business owner mean to you?

Renata: Being an entrepreneur means being a problem solver! We are here to serve our customers and become one of the best in the business.

It all started with a NO – Kash Lanier is leading the charge for financial freedom.

The American credit system is riddled with individuals who have a lot to learn. The system by itself is a precursor toward financial freedom, but most people just don’t know how to navigate through it, ending up with bad credit scores and, in turn, accruing more debt. Kash Lanier has made it her mission to assist people by improving their creditworthiness through her own credit education program. In line with her mission, Kash established her own company called Focused Credit. It all started when Kash Lanier was 19 years old. She was denied her first government apartment due to her having a bad credit score. “I was a single young mom, and it left me in a bad place knowing that I couldn’t provide a place to stay for my child due to my own negligence,” explains Kash. She eventually started working with a gentleman who offered credit repair at a public library in her hometown. He assisted Kash with fixing her credit and told her to build her credit as soon as possible. In about twelve months, Kash Lanier was able to move into a new apartment, buy a new car, and apply for higher credit limits, which was approved instantly. “That feeling was amazing, and I knew if it made me feel amazing and free, that I wanted to share it with the world,” says Kash. Thus, her company, Focused Credit, was born in 2015 in the hopes of assisting others to do exactly what she learned and more.

What does success look like to you?

Success to me is being happy with who you are as a person, and understanding your journey in life. Being fulfilled with love and support from family and friends as well as giving that same support to them as well, and giving back.

What kind of impact do you want to have on the world?

Wow, I never thought of the impact I would love to have on the world, I couldn’t do it alone if I tried but if I could inspire other women and young mothers in one thing that would be self love first. When you love yourself and accept everything. You’ve been through, and forgive yourself you will then begin to impact other people by the way you walk and talk.

What made you choose this type of business?

To be honest, I didn’t pick the business it picked me lol. I am a very curious person, So when I got denied for my fist low income apartment I had to find out who was reporting information about me. I searched high and low, I learned how to fix it and the rest is history.

What hurdles did you personally face in getting ready to open your business and how did you overcome them?

Why did you choose entrepreneurship?

I had no choice, being a convicted felon I had to create a job because everywhere I applied turned me down. I knew I couldn’t provide for my children doing the bare minimum so I created something for me to do that eventually turned into a business.

What would you say is your most driving motivation to keep doing what you to do?

I just love credit, I love to see people get what their hearts desires when someone told them NO and they can turn right around and Get a YES!

Have you ever turned down a client?

Yes all the time, we understand that everyone doesn’t fit our program. Some people don’t qualify for credit repair even with bad credit. We look closely at our intake forms and the clients credit report to determine if they would be a good fit.

What are the goals you most want to accomplish in your business? What are the goals that you hold personally?

To bring more awareness to the black community about finances. To help shift mindsets as much as possible. We have to stop thinking we can’t discuss our finances or credit. The more we speak on it the more we learn and are willing to do.

Did you have any key mentors or people who deeply influenced who you are, what you believe in and what you’re committed to in your work and life? Tell me about them.

Yes, my first coach was Arnita Johnson-Hall, she is something like a big deal in the Credit Industry. She assisted me with so much in my most critical years of starting my business. If it wasn’t for her teaching and assisting people like me I would have been gave up. She always said tell your story and speak facts by educating and that was the key to my success.

If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Don’t Stop!!!!

What’s next for you in your business/brand? What can readers look forward to from you?

I am working on my book, it should be out next fall. I am also starting a coaching program in the summer for startup businesses.
