A Heart to Serve: Kaija Pack

Kaija Pack has more than two decades of experience serving children and individuals in need of love and support. As a devoted mother, mentor, and foster care professional, she saw the transformative power of alternative therapies for people of all ages and wanted to find a fun and unique way to share these benefits with others. In 2021, Kaija made her dream a reality and founded Break Life, an award-winning facility that has been voted the #1 Rage Room In Houston for two years and counting!

Kaija is a widow and a mother of six (LaNeay, Raynard, Richaud, Kaija, Kendall, and Roland)

Outside of entrepreneurship, Who is Kaija Pack?

An amazing mother and grandmother. The life of any party. The encourager. The supporter. The fun and funny one.

How did you get your start in working with children?

Children have always “ended up at my home” Sunday school teacher, youth group leader, mentor, foster parent, and neighborhood mom

You are a mother, mentor and entrepreneur, how did you keep your balance?

For many years I didn’t keep my balance. Now I understand how vital balance is and I ensure that I am checking myself Mentally, emotionally, and physically. I have a great friend that does wellness checks on me as well. In addition I (we) travel often which is my balance.

It takes a special person with a heart for people to become a foster parent, what does this part of your life mean to you?

It means the world to me. A child gets a second family, and you get an added child to pour into. Having the awesome opportunity to be a foster parent is an indescribable feeling for many reasons, but mainly because you get an opportunity to mold someone that you chose to be responsible for and they get an opportunity to see that there is a such thing as a healthy family environment.

Can you share a little about the need for more foster parents in each community?

There’s an overwhelming need for foster parents. They are so many children in the foster care system who only have one desire and that is to wake up in a home with people that they love them and love them and if someone has the resources and the space I would challenge them to take a moment, even if you’re just a temporary foster care. To pour love into someone that temporary Time can change their entire life, which ultimately affects the world and makes it a better place.

Tell us about your company Break Life?

Break Life is such an amazing concept. It’s a safe space, a judgement free zone, a place where you get to think outside of the box. A place where you get to experience an alternative form of therapy. With Rage therapy, paint therapy, and several other therapeutic options, Break Life is indeed cutting edge.

What can customers expect when entering the doors of Break Life?

The first thing they can expect is VIP treatment we are known for and take great pride in our customer service. Customers will experience a one of a kind activity that is engaging, satisfying, stress relieving, and much more.

Where do you hope to see your brand in the next 3-5 years?

My goal is for Break Life to be a household name and to have sites throughout and around the USA.

What message do you have for upcoming entrepreneurs?

Go for it…!!!

Be prepared to succeed
