What inspired the start of “Shavannah Speaks Moore”- (MooreThan Coaching, LLC)?
“Shavannah Speaks Moore” was born out of necessity and purpose. After navigating poverty, trauma, loss, and reinvention, I realized that my voice and my story were not just meant for healing, but for leadership. I saw how many brilliant people were minimizing themselves because they didn’t know how to articulate their story with confidence and clarity. I created this brand to help individuals turn lived experience into power, influence, and impact.
What has been the biggest challenge of running a brand like “Shavannah Speaks Moore”?
The biggest challenge has been honoring evolution. As my brand grows, so does the responsibility to stay aligned with truth while expanding into new rooms, audiences, and opportunities. Learning when to pivot, when to refine, and when to say no has been essential to protecting the integrity of the work.
How does “Shavannah Speaks Moore” impact its local community?
Locally, the brand creates spaces for healing, confidence-building, and leadership development especially for women and emerging leaders. Through workshops, speaking engagements, and mentorship, I help individuals find their voice, advocate for themselves, and show up fully in their careers, businesses, and personal lives.
How can women in particular benefit from what your brand has to offer?
Women benefit by learning how to own their voice without shrinking or apologizing. My work helps women shift from over-performing to intentional positioning whether that’s on stages, in leadership roles, or in business. It’s about confidence, clarity, and unapologetic self-expression.
Where do you hope to see your brand in the next 3–5 years?
In the next 3–5 years, I see the brand continuing to expand nationally and globally through speaking, media, and digital education. I’m building legacy work platforms that help people turn story into strategy and impact into generational wealth.
What advice do you have for the next generation of entrepreneurs?
Don’t wait for permission to be powerful. Your story is not a weakness, it’s your differentiator. Learn the business, protect your peace, and build something that aligns with who you are becoming, not just who you’ve been.
What does being “Pretty and Black Owned” mean to you?
Being “Pretty and Black Owned” means leading with excellence, authenticity, and pride. It’s about honoring our culture, our creativity, and our resilience while building businesses that reflect beauty, brilliance, and impact on our own terms!!
