Adirah Lee is a mother, writer, and author. She began writing at the young age of 10 and fell in love. She started out by writing poetry, journal entries, and short stories in the fourth grade. She has always been a writer at heart. Her writing is inspired by her feelings, strong viewpoints, and milestones she’s had in life. Adirah has always dreamed of writing and continuing her journey as an author. She continues to utilize her life experiences to fuel her passion.
When did you realize you had a passion for writing and educating people about homeownership?
I figured out I had a passion for writing at a very young age while keeping a diary, but I primarily found it my duty to write about the process of purchasing a home after accomplishing my first home purchase at 29.
What has been your biggest lesson thus far?
My biggest lesson thus far has been to never limit yourself, or allow it gets to limit you mentally or physically.
What message do you hope women take away from your work?
I hope women take the message that even me being a single mom, or me begin a black woman, didn’t stop me from accomplishing not only writing my book but also becoming a young homeowner.
What are three tips needed to become a homeowner by 30?
Three short tips to becoming a Homeowner would be to forget the naysayers, mentally prepare yourself, and set a goal and stick to it.
