What inspired your start in entrepreneurship?

My inspiration to start entrepreneurship was solidified after being laid off in February 2021 from a Fortune 500 company. I worked there for 7.5 years and spent a total of 12 years in the Oil and Gas industry. After building up someone else’s dreams and legacy I realized it was time to build my OWN.

What has been the highlight of your career thus far?

The highlight of my career thus far has been the incredible impact that I have left and made on others. Seeing other authors penning their book because they read mine, Chocolate Drop in Corporate America: From The Pit To The Palace. Then collaborated with some amazing people and built those key relationships.

If you could tribute your success to any in your life who would it be?

I definitely have to honor my parents and siblings for instilling amazing values and qualities into me. To my husband who pushes yet supports me and my siblings for giving me wisdom.

What message do you hope women take away from your platform?

To continue to dream, rise above limitations, and break down all barriers. On the other side of failure is someone exercising the courage to START. This is a marathon and not a sprint. Stay focused on your goals and turn them into realities.

What is your go-to quote for motivation?

My go-to quote – Never let the FEAR of striking out keep you from playing the game by Babe Ruth

or Don’t tell me the sky’s the limit when there are footprints on the moon by Paul Brandt

What does being a woman making Herstory mean to you?

Being a woman making Herstory means that we are making history by rising up to all occasions, stepping up to the plate, and laying a steady foundation for future generations to come. Be willing to be uncomfortable but yet courageous to get out of the box and become the SOLUTION to problems.

Having GRIT, Resilience, Bravery, Boldness, and FIRE STARTING mindsets to say HELL NO WE WON’T SETTLE FOR LESS!
