Who is Averianna The Personality, if you could use any four words to describe yourself what would they be?

unapologetic, fearless, black, Soulja

What inspired your start in the media industry?

106 & Park; simple as it gets. That was the only platform I saw black women on the screen and dolled up. I wanted to be a part of it to influence the next generation.

When did you realize you held a passion for sharing the stories of others?

At a very young age, I always was the friend that would listen and bend over backward for anyone to solve their problems. I always knew what to say to help fix the situation at the moment. My words have always held power.

You were born and raised in Nashville, TN? Reflect on your childhood, what experience or encounter really groomed you into the person you are now?

For the most part, I felt like I had it really good but as I grew up I learned that I had better than most but it was still more to life than what was being presented to me. Friendships and Relationships taught me a lot about myself, to be honest, I didn’t really enjoy my childhood. If you watch my documentary I say ” I feel like my life didn’t start until college”. So those years taught me everything I didn’t want or want to be.

Who would you tribute your success to?

So many people have been a part of this journey. For my radio journey for sure I have to say thank you to DJ C-Dubb and Dolewite for seeing something in me, I never would’ve thought to pursue.

Outside of being an entrepreneur, radio personality, and host, you are a woman of God active in your local church. Can you tell us what role your faith has played in your career? How do you balance entrepreneurship and faith?

Absolutely, I love God you don’t love God? What’s wrong with you?

*in my Erica Campbell voice* I am a faithful member of Mt.Zion Baptist Church, God I’m so grateful for them. They have always believed in who I said I would be from the pastor to the media team. I wouldn’t be presented with the opportunity to speak with you guys today without him or my relationship with God. I’ve been through a lot personally and career-wise but I always felt God’s hand on me even through my darkest days. As far as balance, I’m definitely a woman that fakes it till she makes it. I just always known internally a delay isn’t a denial.

Tell us about your show “Cashville Spotlight” on 101.1 The Beat, what can listeners expect each week?

Cashville Spotlight is just its name, a light that I shine on local hip-hop and R&B artists here in the Music City as well as mainstream hip-hop artist that blessed the City.

You also host your own show “ATP’s Music City Check In” can you tell us more about this avenue?

I’m really excited to share that my show is actually in its pilot season and we are expecting to have a LIVE audience at the National Museum of African American Music in downtown Nashville, on February 27th on my birthdate. This show exposes Nashville for more than country music. The culture is here and We will be heard.

What is next for Averianna, where do you hope to see your platform in the next 3-5 years?

I see myself having several seasons of Averianna the Personality Music City Check-In, exposing 3 or 4 artists from Nashville, TN in the Hip-hop and R&B to mainstream opportunities, Averianna the Personality being the official voice of Cashville.

What message do you hope women take away from your platform?

If I made it happen so can you. There will be several No’s but all you need is that one Yes! You can do it! Do it broke, tired, hurt, crying, never give up on yourself.

What is your definition of a Pretty Woman Who Hustles?

A woman of integrity, someone who knows what she wants and knows how to keep the vision and purpose at the forefront of her mind daily!
