She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Service Management with a concentration in Family and Children’s Service from the University of Phoenix. She went on to further achieve a significant milestone by completing a dual Master’s Program, obtaining a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration. Despite her already impressive educational background, Monique is currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Management with a focus on Information Systems Technology. Remarkably, my journey into professionalism and business commenced at the tender age of nine under the guidance of my late mother, Angela Thickin. The skills she imparted then laid the foundation for the expertise I am most sought after for today. Alongside her mentorship, I’ve accumulated years of organizational training, formal education, and certificate programs, thriving within the corporate sphere.

My unwavering love for learning, coupled with innate strategic thinking, has propelled my progress. I also owe a debt of gratitude to my exceptional grandmother, Elayne Stanback McClaine, a trailblazer in both corporate and entrepreneurial realms. Her ongoing guidance and exemplary leadership continue to inspire me throughout my career.

These two remarkable women have not only molded me but also exposed me to fundamental business principles and the intricate workings of the business world. Standing alongside them in various business sectors provided invaluable insights from a young age.

My academic journey has been a cornerstone in shaping my approach to business and leadership. It is a true reflection of resiliency and what it looks like when you stay committed to the goals, a mission and overall values that you have determined are a representation of your brand. Consistently being in learning environments and participating in diverse experiences have provided me with valuable skills and perspectives that directly influence my professional endeavors.

It has instilled in me a deep sense of social responsibility and the understanding that businesses can be powerful agents of positive change.

Through my experiences in the nonprofit world, I’ve gained a heightened awareness of the impact that businesses can have on communities and individuals. This awareness has translated into a more purpose-driven approach to my own business. I believe that success should not only be measured in financial terms but also in the positive contributions a business makes to society.

My business isn’t just a reflection of who I am; it’s a testament to God’s promise that “your gifts will make room for you.” For years, I engaged in business activities—coaching, consulting, and implementing strategies—without officially having a business of my own. It was a natural extension of who I am and what I love to do. As I continued to help others pivot and start their businesses, I found myself with multiple clients, realizing the need to formalize my own business affairs.

In that moment, Moni Management LLC was born, embodying not only my passion but also the manifestation of the gifts I’ve been blessed with. It’s a journey that beautifully aligns with the belief that our innate talents create opportunities and carve out a path uniquely suited for us.

Business is my love, but bringing the visions of others to life is my true passion. Until recently, I didn’t actively market or showcase my business. However, the continuous influx of clients and the blessings of new opportunities speaks volumes. The greatest compliment and validation I receive ihe word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied clients. They recognize my dependability, genuine concern for their success, and the fact that I’m not driven solely by financial gain. It’s a testament to the authentic relationships I build in the business journey.

During this period, entrepreneurs needed to adapt, finding alternative approaches and implementing systems to meet their evolving needs.

My passion lies in assisting businesses to pivot effectively. A notable success was a few years back when I introduced an online portal for a business, streamlining payment processes and record-keeping. This innovation alleviated a significant stressor for the staff, as confirmed by an appreciative text from the Executive Director, who no longer had to endure sleepless nights—a routine for over a decade.

In a recent encounter, I met an entrepreneur stuck in her business, disheartened by broken promises and incomplete tasks from others. This narrative resonates all too often, and it struck a chord with me. After conducting a thorough business analysis, I rebranded her, implementing efficient systems, a new website, revamped social media strategies, and crafted content for workshops, webinars, and speaking engagements. Witnessing her now thriving in what she loves, fulfilling her deepest desires, brings immense joy and fulfillment.

In your spare time, you enjoy spending time with your family, reading, giving back to the community, and traveling. How do these personal interests contribute to your overall well-being and professional success?

Engaging in activities you love is an act of self-care. Through my journey to success, one vital lesson stands out—self-care is paramount. This dedicated time serves as an opportunity to reinvest in myself, indulging in activities that bring joy to my heart. This intentional break rejuvenates me, enabling me to return to my business, work, and volunteer commitments as my best self. You can’t pour from an empty cup, so with everything you do, be sure to take the time to invest in yourself by filling up your own cup.

What is your definition of a Pretty Woman Who Hustles? 

A “Pretty Woman Who Hustles” is a woman that is beautiful from the inside out and has ambition and resiliency that matches. It’s about being not just a go-getter but doing it with style and confidence. In my opinion this phrase celebrates the idea that a person can be both glamorous and hardworking, breaking traditional stereotypes and embodying a blend of beauty and business acumen.
