2020 Black Music Honors to Celebrate Legendary Music Icons

Airing on Bounce TV Saturday November 21 at 12PM EST/11AM CT The show will be a virtual broadcast. Due to the COVID-19 global health crisis, The Black Music Honors celebration  is being produced as a special that will celebrate excellence in music. 

The press conference for the 2020 Black Music Honors was held virtually this year with honoree Deborah Cox and Performer Tweet sharing what is was like performing virtually. Deborah stating that she loves to connect with her audience when she performs.

The legendary songstresses also shared some amazing gems about the industry and how they have maintained their longevity and created new connections during the pandemic.

This years host is Rickey Smiley who is sure to bring the laughs along with amazing commentary.


The honorees for this year’s Black Music Honors include Grammy® Award-nominated R&B legends En Vogue, recognized as one of the top 5 highest selling American female music groups in history, who will receive the Urban Music Icon Award for their three decades in the industry. Grammy® Award-winner, actress and Broadway star Deborah Cox will receive the Entertainer Icon Award. Multiple Stellars and Grammy® Award-winner and producer Fred Hammond will receive the Gospel Music Icon Award. The National Museum of African American Music will be honored with the Legacy Award.

The show will also have performances by special Guests Brian Courtney Wilson, MAJOR., Marvin Sapp, and Don Jackson, Executive Producer of Black Music Honors.

Tune in on Saturday November 20, 2020 at 12PM EST/ 11AM CT on Bounce TV and will air in syndication until December 13.
