Why is your business a business to watch in 2021?
The Brei’Yon Collection is where fashion meets purpose. The brand represents those who are tired of living by the rules created by society. We push the narrative of “loving yourself wholeheartedly” and our consumers are on a mission to “Die Empty”.
What inspired your to start your business?
I live a simple life and my Fashion choices embody that. Fashion has been used as a tool to bully people around the world. If you don’t have the newest kicks and hottest name brands you are laughed at and judged. The Brei’Yon Collection stands for being you no matter what the world thinks of it.
How did 2020 change your business? Was it for the better?
2020 simply allowed me to focus on my creativity. It allowed me to let the universe do its thing and create pieces that I am passionate about. I embraced all that 2020 has brought to me and I thank my ancestors for always having my back. My business model didn’t change in 2020. My vision simply grew bigger.
What lessons did you learn in your business in 2020?
Keep moving forward even if the money doesn’t come right away. Stay passionate and true to yourself. The rest will come.
What kind of impact do you want your business to leave on your client or customer?
I want each consumer to feel free when rocking The Brei’Yon Collection.
Do you feel your product or service meets the needs of the market?
Yes, there is always room for self acceptance and self love.
What hurdles did you personally face in getting ready to open your business and how did you overcome them?
I am my biggest hurdle. Learning that I was my only competition was the best lesson I could learn in business. The industry is saturated in Urban Wear however there is only one Aina Brei’Yon.
When did you realize entrepreneurship was right for you?
Entrepreneurship has always been in me. My music took off when I went independent and I believe that I was meant to be a leader.
Why did you choose entrepreneurship?
I love having full creative freedom in all that I do. If I fail it’s because I didn’t give my all.
What would you say is your most driving motivation to keep doing what you do?
I am living in my purpose on purpose.
What are you most excited or passionate about? (In both business and life or both)
I am loving where my mental and spiritual growth has taken me both in life and business. I live a simple yet 100% free life. The key word there is that I “live” and I’m not just existing.
What are the goals you most want to accomplish in your business? What are the goals that you hold personally?
That’s simple. Die Empty so that I do not have to come back to this realm.
Did you have any key mentors or people who deeply influenced who you are, what you believe in and what you’re committed to in your work and life? Tell me about them.
My dad showed me how to never give up. I hold that thought in everything that I do.
Did you have any life-changing experiences that put you on the path that led you to be doing what you’re doing today? Tell me about them.
I grew up.
What’s next for you in your business/brand? What can readers look forward to from you?
I am currently writing a book on simplifying life and looking to grow my Mindful Healing Living program. I want to heal my people.
