Why is your business a business to watch in 2021?
My brand and its extensions is focused on more than a savory brand positioning recipe. We’re also focused on community and sustainability. And how the two support one another. I created my brand as a shared global community for Creative entrepreneurs and innovators. My ultimate goal is to work with others around the world to transform the media industry and create a more sustainable and diverse operations. My team and I have accomplished a lot with our brand restructure during the height of the global pandemic. We have garnered the support of many notables and executives. I’m excited about what is to come.

What inspired your to start your business?
My grandfather was an entrepreneur. He would take me with him on his side jobs and teach me about how to handle business with those that didn’t look like me. I always carried an entrepreneurial spirit and I always spear headed stuff when I was younger so I kinda new it was in my path.

How did 2020 change your business? Was it for the better?
We had to adapt our business to the new reality. Starting by understanding how habits had changed. The Covid-19 pandemic has severely disrupted global consumption, forcing (and permitting) people to unlearn old habits and adopt new ones. We reassessed growth opportunities. My goal was to emerge from the crisis in a stronger position. Doing these things along with restructuring operations and refocusing set us a sail to do just that!

What lessons did you learn in your business in 2020?
I had to reconfigure my business model. In response to Covid, we developed a strategy for digital engagement with our market that would replace the in-person experience: It turned us into online influencers. I learned what were the best investments in digital channels. I also took an interest in other wealth channels such as stocks. Therefor, I took the time to learn more about the stock market.

What kind of impact do you want your business to leave on your client or customer?
Each client, brand and product is different and deserves a customized, strategic plan for maximum impact. We pride ourselves in bonding with our clients, their vision becomes our vision and their purpose becomes our purpose. We want them to feel empower to be even better than before they became our client.

Do you feel your product or service meets the needs of the market?
Change is the dominant fact of life in every business today. And the ability to master and exploit change has become one of the most sought-after management skills. Therefore, I have to make sure I adjust my business services and products accordingly to meet the demands of my target market. In many of the books that I write, I talk about the necessity for creating a plan in order to succeed. But not just creating one plan and never changing it. You have to constantly revise your approach, measuring and adjusting things as you go. The goals shouldn’t change, but your plan should be constantly evolving.

What hurdles did you personally face in getting ready to open your business and how did you overcome them?
I could go all day with this question. It has always been important to me to do good business and take care of my clients. When I started my entrepreneurial journey several years ago, I was so focused on doing things my way that at times I failed at listening to my clients. It cost me money but it only took one time because I do not like loosing money lol. My resolve was taking more time to get to know my clients personally instead of pushing a bunch of documents to complete in their face. I gave more attention to my clients and adjusted my strategy. As a result, business got better and my clients trusted that I had their best interest.

When did you realize entrepreneurship was right for you?
My first successful sold out event was when I realized I could do it! It gave me so much confidence yet I was humbled that God allowed me to experience that type of success on my first run.

Why did you choose entrepreneurship?
I believe Entrepreneurship chose me. I just had to embrace it and let go of fear. It’s my segway to purpose. My motto is “there is purpose in entrepreneurship”. My purpose is impacting lives and bringing Kingdom principles into the marketplace. With that said I’m going to always operate in it until God says different.

What would you say is your most driving motivation to keep doing what you do?
My family definitely motivates me as well as seeing my clients win through my efforts.

What are you most excited or passionate about? (In both business and life or both)
I’m excited about purpose! I love doing things that brings a sense of purpose to others as well.

What are the goals you most want to accomplish in your business? What are the goals that you hold personally?
I want to be the Oprah of editorials. I love writing and I love empowering others through writing. I want to produce and publish a conglomerate of editorials. I also want to get into production. So I’m currently working on accomplishing both. Personally, I am enjoying my peace and serenity. I want to do more international travel once this pandemic subsides.

Did you have any key mentors or people who deeply influenced who you are, what you believe in and what you’re committed to in your work and life? Tell me about them.
Yes. Professionally, I was influenced by Karen Civil, Brely Evans (who many may not know that she has a marketing degree), and Ebony Porter-Ike. These amazing women definitely help mold my perspective on business, how I do business and the importance on developing the right relationships.

Did you have any life-changing experiences that put you on the path that led you to be doing what you’re doing today? Tell me about them.
I had a few life-changing experiences. All have had a part in why I continue to do what I do. Each one evolved my sense of purpose in some way.
