National Coloring Book Day

Okay, take me back! Sis, did you know coloring calms your nerves. I mean like it’s so relaxing, According to, coloring can relax the fear center of your brain, the amygdala. It induces the same state as meditating by reducing the thoughts of a restless mind. This generates mindfulness and quietness, which allows your mind to get some rest after a long day at work. Sis, in a nutshell, coloring relaxes you; period.
When I was growing up I always colored it was just so calming, As a child, I didn’t know why coloring was so peaceful but now as an adult, I just have to carry a coloring book with me to keep me in a calm place; lol. Do you have an adult coloring book? OMG! I love mine. I get lost in my little world with my coloring book and I’m just at peace with whatever is going on around me.
