Kiara Jackson CEO of Showtime Productions, LLC

Kiara C. Jackson, also known as “Showtime” was nominated as Prince George’s County 40 under 40 honoree for all of her outstanding work in the community. She is an energetic youth advocate, middle school educator, professional entertainer and entrepreneur. At age three, she began taking dance lessons, exposing her as a young superstar, which molded her courageous and fearless personality. In 2016, Kiara served as the Director & Producer of her very first Fashion Show consisting of young girls between the ages of 9 and 16. This sold-out event opened her eyes to a fresh start of entrepreneurship.

Share your background and what led you to pageantry.

I attended Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. During my freshman year of college, I participated in my very first pageant, the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Miss Black & Gold Pageant. Unfortunately, I did not win or place in this competition, leaving me defeated. However, after being super involved in various organizations, serving in several leadership positions and becoming an influential figure on campus, a good friend of mine suggested that I run for Miss Lincoln University. This pageant was the biggest and BEST pageant on campus. This was an opportunity for me to serve as the Queen of the University, while impacting a large college community. Of course, I was beyond nervous but I faced my fear and became the 40th Miss Lincoln University during my senior year. This was a life changing experience for me. I got to plan programs/events, compete nationally, attend conferences throughout the states, AND serve as the face of my University along with the college President.

After graduating in 2015, I decided to continue my passion for pageantry, and start my own pageantry business. Miss Gorgeous Prince George’s Teen Pageant, an organization that grants a $1,000 scholarship to teens between ages 13 to 17. Showtime Productions, LLC was founded in 2017 and is still flourishing in Prince George’s, Maryland. My organization guarantees a life changing experience. We offer professional services for performing arts & public speaking while hosting empowerment workshops and community service events for the youth to enjoy.

Pageantry changed my life and my perspective on the true definition of BEAUTY, which stands for Being Educated Always Understanding the True You.

What do you enjoy the most?

What I enjoyed most was the impact I made amongst so many lives. Being idolized for simply being myself was such an incredible feeling. I had the pleasure of meeting young men & women who suffered from different traumas, that inspired to go to college to change their lifestyles. I also enjoyed creative different programs and serving as the keynote speaker for different events.

What’s Next?

The next step for me is to dominate the entire Maryland region, making the Miss Gorgeous Prince George’s Teen Pageant the biggest and best pageant in the entire DMV area.
