You began your career as an award-winning gospel recording artist. At what point did you realize that success for you needed to expand beyond traditional music industry definitions?
Music was my first language of purpose. It gave me a platform to encourage people and share my faith, and I will always honor that season. But there came a point when I realized the message inside of me was bigger than a single medium. As I continued to meet women from all walks of life, I began hearing stories about caregiving, chronic illness, entrepreneurship, identity, and healing. I realized that the same heart that wrote songs was also being called to create spaces where those conversations could live.
That realization shifted my understanding of success. Success was no longer about chart positions or industry recognition. It became about impact. I understood that if God trusted me with influence, then I had a responsibility to use every platform available to uplift, educate, and empower others.

Many women feel pressure to stay in the lane where they were first recognized. What gave you permission to evolve and redefine success on your own terms?
I had to learn that purpose is not a single lane; it is a journey. The pressure to stay where people first celebrate you can be very real, but growth requires courage. My permission to evolve came from my relationship with God and from understanding that
obedience matters more than public comfort. Every season of my life has revealed another layer of who I am called to be. I also realized that reinvention is not abandoning your past. It is building on it. Music prepared me to communicate, to lead, and to connect with people’s hearts. Those same gifts simply found a new expression through television, storytelling, and community initiatives.

Through Trish Standley TV, you lead conversations around self-worth, wellness, and reinvention. Why were these conversations essential to your next chapter?
Because these are the conversations many women are having privately, but rarely see reflected publicly.

Through Trish Standley TV, I wanted to create a space where the everyday woman could feel seen, heard, and respected. Topics like menopause, caregiving, alopecia, entrepreneurship, and healing are not niche conversations. They are real-life experiences that shape women’s journeys. I believe the media has the power to normalize healing. When women see themselves reflected in honest conversations, it gives them permission to pursue their own growth. My goal has always been to remind women that their stories matter and that reinvention is not something to fear. It is something to embrace.

How has faith guided your decisions as you shifted from artist to media owner and storyteller, and what did alignment teach you about success that achievement alone could not?
Faith has been my compass in every transition. When I shifted from artist to media owner and storyteller, there were moments when the path was not clearly mapped out. But faith taught me to trust the assignment even when the details were still unfolding.
Alignment showed me that achievement without purpose can feel empty. You can accumulate accolades and still feel disconnected if what you are building does not reflect your calling. When your work aligns with who God created you to be, success begins to feel different. It feels peaceful. It feels purposeful. It feels like service rather than performance.

Your career now spans music, media, and community-building. How do you personally define success in this season of your life?
In this season, success means living a life that is intentional, impactful, and aligned with my calling. Success is seeing women walk away from conversations feeling empowered. Success is building platforms that amplify voices that are often overlooked. Success is leaving a legacy that reflects love, faith, and service to the community. For me, success is no longer measured by applause. It is measured by transformation.

What sacrifices or boundaries did you have to make to build a career rooted in Wholeness rather than hustle?
One of the greatest lessons I learned was that constant hustle can sometimes come at the expense of wholeness. I had to become intentional about protecting my peace, my health, and my spiritual life.
That meant learning how to say no to opportunities that were not aligned with my purpose. It also meant setting boundaries around time, energy, and relationships. Building from a place of wholeness requires you to prioritize the foundation of your life, not just The visibility of your work.

For women who are feeling called to pivot or reinvent themselves, what would You say to reassure them that redefining success is not failure, but growth?
Reinvention is often evidence of growth. The woman you were ten years ago is not the woman you are today, and that evolution is something to celebrate. Your dreams are allowed to change as you grow. Your vision is allowed to expand as you gain
wisdom. If you feel the pull to pivot, trust that instinct. Sometimes the next chapter is simply waiting for You have the courage to step into it. And most importantly, remember this: Success is not about staying the same. It is about becoming who you were created to be.
