Meet Entrepreneur and influencer Issia Lee, she has changed the game, making travel easier, more fun, and more affordable than ever – pandemic or not.

The 23-year old visionary is the founder of Issia’s Traveling Co., a travel agency that is solidifying its reputation as a leader in securing luxury vacations for travelers at an affordable rate. Her company provides luxury concierge services and specializes in hotels, vacation homes, cabins, car rentals, restaurants, and excursions.

Launched during the pandemic, Issia’s Traveling Co. catapulted to success, sparked by a viral post-Lee produced regarding a Las Vegas getaway that included a stay at a luxury mansion. Currently, with over 2 million views and 10,000+ likes, the post details an action-packed trip with top-notch accommodations, at an amazingly low cost. From that point on, everything changed. The Facebook page now has over 50,000 followers with more than 6 million page views. 

We had the amazing opportunity of sitting down with Lee to discuss her passion and inspiration behind her travel company.

When did you discover your passion for Travel? 

Interestingly enough, I never knew I had a passion for the travel industry until I got into it. I was actually sick at the beginning of the pandemic, and I was laying in my bed bored and feeling unmotivated. I decided one day that I wanted to learn something new, and I came across this course for $69 that was teaching people about the travel business. I said, what the heck, if it turns out to be a waste, I didn’t lose much. Instead, it turned out to be the greatest decision I ever made. That tiny investment changed my life. 

 What inspired the start of Issia’s Travel Co?

When I was growing up I always thought that in order to travel to different places around the country and around the world, you had to have a lot of money. However, when I learned about ways to take amazing trips at crazy affordable rates, I wanted to share this gift with others so they could also have these experiences. 

What has been your biggest challenge thus far?

The biggest challenge has been managing my growth and the reach that I am beginning to have in different parts of the world. It is one thing to grow your company in the U.S. where you understand the culture and how people communicate. But, once you start having customers in different countries, it’s a little more difficult because their communication styles are different and you want to make sure you maintain your standard of professionalism so you can keep them happy as well. Also, because my company is relatively young, and we have grown so rapidly and provided unbelievable rates, you have to deal with some people thinking it’s a scam. We have to prove ourselves more. 

What sets Issia’s Travel Co apart from the rest of the travel sites in the world? 

Our prices beat 70-80 percent of the market, our professionalism is exceptional, and our flexibility makes us accessible to customers with varying schedules. Also, we have great vendor relationships, and many companies don’t have access to booking some of the services we have. Lastly, we have done a great job of adapting to the virtual environment, while some are still struggling to make the transition since the start of the pandemic. 

What are the top 3 things travelers should look for when booking a hotel or travel bundle? 

– Flight times. Look at your flight times, because your flight times can mess up everything. If you arrive late, you’ve lost a day… and on top of that, if you depart early, you have basically lost two days.

– Pay attention to the area you are staying in. Make sure you are in a tourist location to ensure you are in a safe environment and accessible to people and resources that can help you understand your surroundings and the culture (especially if you are abroad).

– You can read the reviews and they will give you a heads up about what you can expect. Everyone’s experience is different, but you want to have an idea of some of the concerns or issues that people have. Or even the great things and recommendations that people share. 

Traveling in the midst of a pandemic is now a thing, what are some tips for safe travel? 

– Don’t overlook stateside trips. There are great places you may be overlooking right here in the U.S. 

– Be sure to make reservations and plan ahead

– Check the CDC daily for travel guidelines and procedures

What is your favorite spot to travel that has the best food, amazing scenery, and is actually affordable? 

Las Vegas. They have a variety of options and everything is right outside as soon as you step out of your hotel. You don’t even have to leave your hotel to find fun stuff to do. You can go to restaurants, enjoy shows and parties, go to the casino, and even do adventurous things like visiting the Grand Canyon and going hiking. 

What are your carry-on essentials when flying?

 What has been the key to your business withstanding during the pandemic? 

Encouraging travel. Some people are scared to travel, but you don’t have to be afraid, just take the proper precautions and be responsible. Or, I advise customers to get the deal now and book it for later. Also, many people think that just because you can’t fly out of the country you can’t go anywhere, but I have been very successful at showing people great places to travel within the country that they may not have considered. This has definitely given my company a boost during the pandemic. 

Where do you hope to see Issia’s Travel Co in 2022? 

I want to be the nation’s number one travel agency. So, we will be headed in that direction in 2022. Also, I am looking forward to launching my travel academy to help people to learn how to start and scale their travel businesses and maximize their income. 

What is your definition of a Pretty Woman Who Hustles?

A pretty woman who hustles is a woman who is confident in who she is. She has made up her mind that she is going to do something, and she lets nothing or no one stop her.
