Princess of R & B Ashanti has a wonderful children’s book that has recently hit the shelves.

Ashanti has been known as a singing artist since 2001-02, when she released her self titled album and hit #1 on the billboard charts. Her latest album was produced in 2019 titled “For I know the plans, I have for you“. After 20 years in the industry, she was honored in 2021 by receiving the Lady of Soul Award at the Soul Train Awards.

She has now tooken a big step in becoming a writer of children’s literacy. As the author, she wrote a self inspired book that relates to her upbringing as a child learning the meaning behind her name. With her being a writer of music, I’m sure this was an easy transition. Her drive to create literature for the youth is inspiring, seeing as she doesn’t have any kids of her own. She has already won the hearts of adults and teens with her music. Now she is tapping into the younger generation from an educational standpoint.

Her book published July 12, 2022 with Harper Collins. This book contains 40 pages of a story from her first day of school. Illustrator Monica Mikai provided wonderful pictures to bring Ashanti’s vision to life. My name is a storyis tailored for reading ages 4-8 years old and in 9”x 11” book size.

Currently in the top 100 rank on Amazon. Listed below are her many book formats and prices.

Kindle $12.99

Audio CD $21.99
