Validate your feelings: It is okay to not be ok today

It is your favorite Mental Health Professional Latrina C.

I pray all is well with you all. We are dealing with so much in today’s world. Sometimes we are so consumed with all the issues going on today, we don’t take a moment to validate how we are feeling.

Sometimes we are not always ok, we have to learn to accept that everything may not always go as planned. Most of the time it is a very good reason that things are not going well. The reason might not be revealed right away but eventually, it will.

We are living in different times, and are extremely distracted by the ways of the world. But we must try our best to stay focused and that will take a certain level of discipline.

I am aware we have been programmed to be overworked but times are changing.

  •  Sit back and learn to self-reflect on your life struggles and goals.
  •  Slow down and take a few moments to write out a to-do list, this is a great way to stay organized.
  •  Learn how to always find the positive part in any obstacle/situation.

Listen, we have the advantage to take our power back, there are more resources available for you to get started. From seeing a therapist/coach for the first time and society finally viewing this as normal or starting a new career.

If you seek, you shall find. This is your journey, learn to validate how you are feeling, whether it’s good or bad. It is all a part of the process. When you feel you need extra support today, tap into your resources, and learn to feed your spirit. I call it spirit food, it is as simple as tapping into the word or uplifting music. It is feeding your core good positivity amid the storm.

You might have heard by now that the devil is a liar, so it is important when you are not feeling your best, to validate your feelings and tap into yourself. Take your power back, one step at a time and one obstacle at a time.

I just wanted to motivate you all, we all have good and bad days. It is up to you, how you choose to react. No matter what, don’t give up, and remember you validate yourself and your feelings.

It is ok to not be ok today, but tomorrow is a new day to get started in the most positive way.

Self-care equal self-love equals soul-care
