What inspired the start of “Chase is everything “?
My name is Mariam Adepoju, and I am the founder and CEO of Chasiseverything. I relocated to the United States of America six years ago from Nigeria, and I quickly realized that I lacked the appropriate resources, tools, and support to achieve the American dream. In Nigeria, I worked as a banker, catering to High Networth Clients. Therefore, coming here and being unable to work made me realize that I lacked the resources to excel. As a result, I learned how to sew without patterns within a month.

At Chasiseverything, we specialize in creating sustainable, environment-friendly clothing and jewelry pieces that celebrate cultures, share inspiring stories, and provide employment opportunities. I was able to pay my school fees from sewing and pursue my master’s degree. We source all our materials ethically and ensure that every item we make is sustainably produced.

What has been the biggest challenge of running a brand like “Chase is everything “?
It’s highly capital intensive. I was scammed by my photographer and website designer, just to mention a few.

How does ” Chase is everything ” impact its local community?
We believe in giving back to our community and offer volunteer services and free sewing lessons to people within the community. We also sew for free for individuals aged 90 and above. Serving is a vital aspect of our mission, and we take pride in creating unique and diverse pieces that meet the needs of women and young girls. Our ultimate goal is to spread positivity and goodwill through our products and services.

What can women expect when joining your youtube community, what are your messages geared towards?
My youtube community is geared towards helping people secure grants for their business and believe in themselves.

Where do you hope to see your brand in the next 3-5 years?
We will become the biggest African inspired fashion brand in America

What advice do you have for the next generation of entrepreneurs?
Avoid dream killers. Don’t share your big dreams with small minds.

What does being “Pretty and Black Owned” mean to you?
Pretty and black owned is something we all should pride in. If we all support our melanin sisters and brothers, we will ALL win big!
