Rest, Release, and Proceed

Happy New Years Eve!

For the upcoming year of 2021, we’re getting ready for the unknown. 2020 has kicked a lot of butt for some, and for others, it taught valuable lessons. As we continue forth, it is important to rest and release. “Out with the old and in with the new.” “Let go and let God.” As cliché and worn out those sayings are, they hold much value and truth.

2020 kicked butt for me, but in those tribulations I learned a lot:

2020 taught me to get comfortable with the unknown. As much as I believe I am a free spirit, go-with-the-flow kind of gal, I also realized when things don’t go my way or the way that I expect them to, I have a hard time accepting it. Like why is it not going my way, helloooo God, I made this perfect plan in my head.

Ultimately, God had to show me that things don’t always happen the way we want, but it’s the way HE wants and planned because His plan is bigger and better than anything I could have conjured up.

2020 has exposed me in ways unimaginable and made me vulnerable. I had to learn that it’s okay to ask, and accept help. I can’t do everything alone. Vulnerability is not a sign of weakness, but emotional strength. It takes a level of intelligence to process your emotions and release them in a positive way, instead of self destructive habits.

2020 stripped me from my material wealth. The very things that gave me a sense of comfort or ease, were now gone with the wind. I felt as though I lost my sense of purpose or value. Everything that I once knew was dismantled, and I had to start all the way over. A 2020 reset.

As a result of the transgressions set before me, I needed to rest. To hone within, mind, body and soul, and ask for help. To pour into my own cup. Turn my words into action, and practice what I preached. I had to release my ways and give it up to God, truly let go, and execute blind faith.

In my period of rest, and surrendering to the will of God, I could not give up. I had to get back up. Rest, release, and proceed. Even though everything around me was crumbling, I had to know that my pain was for a purpose. God was cooking up something and I wouldn’t be able to savor the fruit with the old mindsets still holding me back.

In 2020, God was trying to show that I am enough. We are enough. He is enough, and He is all we ever need.  Not the stuff we hang on to, or the people we think we need, but just our very existence and persistence to strive to be better, is enough.

2020 melted my core down into gooey warm candle wax, and God began to do the work in molding me. Shape my wax into a new stronger base. Getting rid of my icky smelly core, and giving me a new sweet aroma and 3 fresh new wicks. My flame can shine brighter than before and my new aroma will touch the lives and hearts of those around me.

In 2021, I will have taken the lessons learned in 2020 and I will continue to be strong and believe in my own power.

With this mindset, you too can release the old and welcome in the new. Find your power and step into 2021 knowing that you can conquer whatever comes your way. Don’t give up or give in to the pressure, you are a diamond in the rough. You are facing hard pressures, so when it is your season to shine, your haters will have to put their blockers on!

Rest, release, and proceed. Go into 2021 strong and courageous! For God is with you, and he will never forsake you.

Meet Rebecca Nicoson: Success Advisor Next Level Results and Owner of Nicoson Networking Solutions Empowerment Coach

In 2019 Rebecca worked in Corporate America as managing health and life insurance agent, making great money but on the road 14 hours a day with a husband and six children. On September 26th, she had a doctor’s visit because her husband had been losing weight rapidly and having back issues. They received the news that no one wants to hear; “you have stage 4 cancer”. Not only did her husband develop it in one area but six areas and multiplying.

Rebecca decided to take a step back from her career and decided to become her husband’s full-time caregiver and chauffeur to all appointments. She immediately had to do something to take care of her family as he could no longer work, so she entered network marketing and started coaching courses since she has a degree in psychology and held management and leadership positions. Soon after, the pandemic hit, and there became a massive benefit in multiple streams of income. She decided that she would complete schooling and get her certification to become an empowerment and self-love/care coach. She also decided to get certified as a social media strategist and manager. Through all of this, she reached her goal in 2020 with over 600 customers in her Network Marketing business and 20 recurring clients for her social media networking business, and a following of over 800. Launching a coaching platform a few weeks ago and already growing past 300+ followers.

Rebecca refuses to allow her situation to deter her dreams. There are no problems, just situations, and situations all have solutions. Rebecca says she loves being a stay at home wife, mom, teacher, and caregiver while fighting each day to achieve her goals.

LR: Nicoson Networking Solutions is a newly established company in 2020 with a pretty good-sized following. What advice can you give on acquiring followers?

RN: The advice I would give is consistently branding yourself and constant communication with others. Letting others see who you are and being genuine can go a long way!

LR: Your background is in Management and Leadership, coupled with your Psychology degree, you’re quite the package. How have those positions in Corporate America prepared you to be successful in your own business?

RN: These positions have prepared me to be ready for any situation to arise no matter what position you hold and be flexible and ready for a chance to advance and increase my growth. It has also prepared me for creating a business that opens the door for a diverse community and being able to understand the views of other individuals that come from various backgrounds.

LR: Juggling a family and being an entrepreneur is already a task. On top of that, you are the primary caregiver for your husband during his illness. What is the secret to juggling all this at once and not letting your business slip away?

RN: There is no secret other than being very organized and time blocking your schedule, and still having flexibility for unexpected events. Also, having a great support system in both family and business has a great impact in achieving daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals!

LR: Network Marketing can take a hefty amount of time for just a few clients, and you have over 600 customers. How in the world do you maintain those relationships? What tricks of the trade can you give entrepreneurs desiring to reach your level?

RN: Maintaining relationships with a great Customer management system is key! This helps you stay organized, send out regular emails, scheduling phone calls / sending greeting cards, your customers for just a thank you , or an I appreciate you go a long way for integrity and relationships!

LR: As an Empowerment Coach, what sets you apart from others in the same field?

RN: I feel that the one thing that sets me apart is that In today’s world, several are needing this service but financially struggle in order to maintain it. I am flexible with payment arrangements and even include free sessions after successfully completing a certain number of tasks that will help them! I also take the time to actually get to know not only them, whether it be virtually or face to face, but I also include family, spouses, friends in sessions! This way, the ones most important to them get to know me and can have the knowledge of what my client/friend is trying to achieve.

LR: Finally, if you could have a business meeting with anyone on the planet, who would it be and why?

RN: This is a tough one as there are many that I would love to meet with, but I believe I would love to pick the brain of Bill Gates or Oprah Winfrey. Both have set goals and manifested so much in a short amount of time while they have overcame obstacles in their personal lives at the same time .

Have You Ever Seen a Zebra Eat Zucchini with Author Keshia Harper

Keshia Harper holds a master’s degree in education from Cambridge College and works as a Lead Teacher for Special Education in the third-largest school district in Georgia. As an educator with nearly 15 years of experience, she provides services for students with disabilities.

Early in Keshia’s educational career, her teachers noticed her ability to write well, and while in Middle School she was featured in the local newspaper for her creative writing.

Keshia, the mother of one preschooler, enjoys running, hiking, and reading children’s books with her daughter.

She is a Children’s Book author and best known for her published book Have You Ever Seen a Zebra Eat Zucchini and its companion Activity and Coloring Book.

Keshia has penned more children’s books which she plans to release in 2021.

PWH: You realized you held a gift for creative writing early on, what made you follow your writing path?

KH: Throughout my early studies and even my postgraduate studies, teachers and professors consistently noted my creative writing.  For me, the gift of creative writing is a calling and it serves a purpose for me to fulfill.  In the professional realm, I am obligated to write in a variety of capacities daily; however, I find that with creative writing, it allows me the opportunity to express myself and display my humor; yet, educate all at the same time. A desire to spark imagination and laughter while providing educational opportunities make me steadfastly follow my writing path.

PWH: How would you describe your writing style?

KH: If I had to describe my writing in one word, it would be imaginative.  My writing style encompasses imaginative language, visual imagery, and emotional appeal through narrative.  Using my originality and self-expression, I aim to create long-lasting vivid pictures in the reader’s mind.

PWH: What inspired your debut children’s book, “Have You Ever Seen a Zebra Eat Zucchini”?

KH: I read an article published in Psych Central, written by Margarita Tartakovsky stating that “Kids are natural innovators with powerful imaginations.” I have found that being around my four-year-old daughter ignites my creative spark and helps my creative energy to flow. Having a silly moment with my daughter, while in the car one day, I turned around and asked her have you ever seen a zebra eat zucchini? She instantly laughed as well as me. Over the next several days, I started writing an alphabet book full of silly questions and educational opportunities. The book is titled Have You Ever Seen a Zebra Eat Zucchini since the zebra and the zucchini came to my imagination first.

PWH: What message do you hope readers gain from your work?

KH: As a children’s book author, promoting creativity in children and encouraging imagination is of utmost importance. Children must tap into the crevices of their minds considering that imagination keeps one anchored in their purpose.  Have You Ever Seen a Zebra Eat Zucchini does all of the aforementioned things while inspiring children to learn about new foods and animals, piquing curiosity, and teaching alphabets, alliteration, coloring, and counting. At the heart of it all, readers can gain all these concepts and giggle. “A cheerful heart is good medicine.” Proverbs 17:22

PWH: What is next for Keshia Harper?

KH: I have penned more children’s books which I plan to release in 2021. I love a challenge; thus, I am particularly excited about launching a rhyming book, and I am just as excited about having written a manuscript containing suspense and a surprise ending.

PWH: What is your definition of a Pretty Woman Who Hustles?

KH: A pretty woman who hustles is a fearless and courageous woman who is willing to be a risk-taker.  She is one who keeps her purpose and vision at the forefront of her mind.   She is innovative, full of ideas, and sharp in business matters.  She is a leader who influences others to reach their maximum potential.

Dressing Up in the Remote Workplace

Your Outward Appearance Affects Your Performance

Photo credt

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the American workplace in a lot of ways. We now work remotely, and that means we see our team members only in Zoom meetings. Some have decided that their work wardrobe should be very relaxed. Business casual attire or a suit have been replaced by yoga pants and a t-shirt. Blowouts are not being done and make up in minimal or not worn at all. Its reasonable to want to be comfortable while you are working from home, but does your choice of outfit affect your work performance?

No one is suggesting its wrong to wear your sweatpants and a t-shirt to work in your kitchen. However, there is an argument for wearing something that is a little less cozy to keep your brain in work mode. Fashion designer Tom Ford told “The Sunday Times” he wears a three-piece suit for work consisting of a white t-shirt, a jeans button down shirt and jeans. Tom also wears boots on his feet, not slippers. Tom said he feels too vulnerable in knit wear.

Talia Lakritz from wrote a story about her experiment dressing for work while working from home for one week. Talia said about day one of her experiment “As I walked to the kitchen to make my morning cup of tea, I felt a little more energized. Putting on actual shoes made me feel like I was ready to start walking to the subway.” Talia also said by Thursday she felt more productive wearing her actual clothes than wearing her leggings and slippers to work at home.

Sarah Harrison has been running her website remotely for a few years and she understands the importance of getting dressed for work at home. She was interviewed for and said “It’s very easy to get caught in the work-from-bed vortex when you first wake up, reach for your phone and start firing off emails. Before you know it, it’s 11am, and you haven’t left your bed. Failing to get out of bed and adequately preparing yourself for the day ahead can leave you feeling just as disheveled as you look.”

The case for dressing for work at home can also be made when you are in virtual meetings with your co-workers and boss. It is unprofessional to look like you just got home from yoga class when you are in a virtual work meeting. Your boss will notice you take your job seriously if you dress the part (the part she can see on camera). If you want to go the extra mile and glam up for your meeting wear little lip gloss and mascara to make you look even more polished.

Working from home is still work. You should wear the outfit that makes you feel productive, whether that outfit consists of sweats and tshirt of jeans and a blouse. When you feel productive you set yourself up for success.

PWH: When did you realize you had a passion for writing?

TR: I realized I had a passion for writing due to three things.

1. I was so good at lying.

2. To escape reality.

3. Speak my truth without judgement

Every single one of these reasons pointed to a great story.

PWH: How would you describe your writing style?

TR: I have more of a narrative writing style but I can definitely dip into descriptive writing. My downfall would most definitely be punctuation but please do not underestimate my talent because of this. I will tell you a story so good it’ll make you feel like it was a true story and later have you stunned that it wasn’t. I prefer my stories to be something that any and everyone can relate to.  I want to hear “Girl, I’ve been through the same situation with such and such.” or “Dang sis, You hit the nail right on the head with that one.”

PWH: What message do you hope readers gain from reading your work?

TR: The message that I hope readers gain from my work is to maintain self-love and self-worth. When you have those two nothing and no one will be able to tear you down.

PWH: You are the host of your own podcast, tell us about that?

TR: My podcast is called “Auntie Always Running Her Mouth”. I came up with this particular podcast because I am constantly being asked for advice. Hell my life is not even put all the way together but whose is. I give advice to just about everyone young, tender, and the ones in between. Every time I am done giving what I believe to be good advice I get a “Okay, mom!”. My reaction is quick “Aht! Aht! I am not that old. I am still in my twenties and may be pushing 30 but who’s counting? So then they would say “Okay Auntie.” and ever since that has stuck with me. Auntie is my alter ego. She is funny, kind, loving, but she will tell it like it and lay you out in a heartbeat. It is like having your grandma and your best friend mixed into one. What a perfect combination. I touch base on all topics, nothing is left in the dark and I am very open minded.

My podcast is available everywhere so check it out.

Listen to “Auntie Always Running Her Mouth” on Spreaker.

PWH: What is next for you?

TR: What is next for me? That is a great question. A best-seller and a movie. The rest is to follow. I will continue to hustle until I reach my fullest potential and even then I will find something else to get into.

  5. Roll the dough pieces into balls, drench them in the butter and then roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Place them in a greased shallow baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Warm large skillet over medium heat. Form sausage into 12 patties, slightly larger than one dinner roll. Add sausage to skillet and cook until completely cooked through.
Meanwhile, using a serrated knife, cut rolls in half lengthwise (without breaking apart). Place bottom half of rolls in 7×10-inch or 9×13-inch baking dish; set tops aside.
Scoop scrambled eggs onto bottom rolls; top with pepper jack. Place sausage on top of pepper jack and top with American cheese. Carefully top with top buns.

Bangin’ Breakfast Potatoes: by Vodkaandbiscuits.com

Ingredients: serves 3

  1. 3 medium golden potatoes – skin on
  2. 1 tablespoon olive oil, plus more if needed
  3. 2 pieces of bacon
  4. 1-2 garlic cloves, minced
  5. 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  6. parsley for garnish
  7. salt
  8. pepper
  9. Old Bay

  1. Before you do anything, freeze your bacon slices that way when you’re ready to prep, it’ll be so much easier to chop!
  2. Wash the potatoes and cut medium dice into square pieces. To prevent any browning, place the already cut potatoes in a bowl filled with water.
  3. In the meantime, heat 1-2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.Tilt the skillet so the oil spreads evenly.
  4. Once the oil is hot, drain the potatoes and add to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and Old Bay as needed.
  5. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring the potatoes often, until brown. If needed, add a tablespoon more of oil.
  6. Chop up the bacon and add to the potatoes. The bacon will start to render and the fat will begin to further cook the potatoes. Toss it up a bit! The bacon will take 5-6 minutes to crisp.
  7. Once the bacon is cooked, reduce the heat to medium-low, add the minced garlic and toss. Season once more. Add dried or fresh parsley. Control heat as needed.
  8. Let the garlic cook until fragrant, about one minute.
  9. Just before serving, drizzle over the maple syrup and toss. Let that cook another minute, giving the potatoes a caramelized effect.
  10. Serve in a warm bowl with a sunny side up egg!

  1. This served 3 people in my household, easily bump up the amount of potatoes if serving more!
  2. If turkey bacon is preferred, add a little more oil throughout cooking process.
  3. Red potatoes work well too!

So, after checking all of these recipes out, Ya girl is hungry! Great thing about these recipes, they can be made anytime of the year. They are quick, EASY, and tasty…

Go ahead, try a few out and let me know what you think. My favorite is the White Hot Chocolate, what’s yours?

Happy Holidays!!!

LR: What inspired you to write Lipstick Stories Volume 1?

TA: There are three reasons that inspired me to be a part of Lipstick Stories Volume 1.  The first inspiration, was that the president of Stroud Publishing, Shericka Stroud herself reached out to me and asked me to be apart of this project.  Although she did not know me personally, she had been following my social media presence, believed in me and the work I was doing and just knew I would be an asset to the Lipstick Stories project.  The second inspiration was my mentor and big sister Tina Adams Turnipseed guiding me to accepting the opportunity that had been placed in front of me and making sure I  didn’t run away from it and miss out on part of my purpose.  The third inspiration was realizing and recognizing the opportunity and platform that was being offered for me to help others.  You see I pushed and pushed and pushed my purpose away because I didn’t feel like I was worthy of it for a long time. No matter how many people believed in me and my abilities I didn’t believe in myself.  This book gave me the opportunity to be transparent and share some of my experiences with the world on how to accept, own and live in your purpose.

LR: If you could take us on a journey through Lipstick Stories Volume 1, where would it take us?

TA: In the Co-Authored Book Lipstick Stories Volume 1, Te’Ara Arman explains how dare to be different, live to inspire and be who you are allows you to face your fears and guides you to success.  Journey through the minds of 9 Queens as they share the good, bad and ugly of being women in business.  You will learn how to accept challenges, reevaluate your life and accept your purpose.  Lipstick Stories is more than just a book.  It’s about giving a voice to women and a shoulder for others to learn from the trials, tribulations and the triumphs of those who are doing the same thing. Sister girl, you are not alone.

LR: As an author/writer, what would you choose as your mascot/avatar/spirit animal?

TA: My spirit animal is a Raven.  Just like the Raven I am very nurturing and love to give my time and heart to those around me.

LR: You are an Author, Empowerment Speaker, Purpose Coach, Mentor and Podcaster among many other things. You are the definition of a BOSS!  How do you juggle the many responsibilities that come with each of your endeavors as an entrepreneur?

TA: To be honest, prayer, a very supportive Husband and son,  Mentors/Accountability partners, planners and the understanding that balancing everything is not always set in stone and it is forever changing.  I try to plan the week out by dedicating specific days and times to a different part of the business so that my family time remains family time and I don’t get overwhelmed. My key to it all is FLEXIBILTY!

LR: You received the Legacy Award for Daring Inspired Youth.  Explain to us first off what Daring Inspired Youth is all about and secondly what receiving the Legacy Award mean to you?

TA: I received a Legacy Award for Most Growth in Entrepreneurship and it means the world to me that I would not only be considered as a Legacy at the then age of 37, but be awarded alongside so many phenomenal women.  It’s crazy because there was a time not long ago when I didn’t think I was worthy enough to even be in the room with Legacy Award Recipients.  Although not only was I in the room, I was crown Legacy.  This honor both humbled and empowered me to continue to own and live in my purpose of helping and guiding others to their purpose.

LR: Finally, what can our readers expect from you in 2021?

TA: In 2021 I am officially launching my 3 month Purpose Coaching program titled, Dare! Live! Be! to Purpose, My second book My Imperfections Are My Strength will be coming out, season 2 of the Te’Ara Speaks Podcast will air and I become a Momager as my 4 year old son launches his new Business K2 Enterprises and his custom clothing line Big Boy Status.

LR: What is your definition of a Pretty Woman Who Hustle’s?

TA: My definition of a Pretty Woman Who Hustle’s is a Women who “Dares to be Different”, steps out on faith and creates their own path, “Live to Inspire”, leave a legacy and help guide others through the processes so that they know they are not alone and “Be Who You Are”, be the unapologetic authentic you no matter what.

Stubborn as a mule! Ever heard of that saying? As a Capricorn, I think I resonate with that phrase very much so. When it comes to work, I despise asking for help. I always think that I can do everything alone and I will “figure it out.” It seems as though when I do ask, people never meet my standards anyway, so why bother? Very bad habit but as a recovering perfectionist, I am working on it. I am open and more willing to seek aid, and be patient with others.

Sometimes, we may feel like that throughout our everyday lives. We feel lost and helpless, and life’s hardships can get us feeling down. We forget we have a Father in Heaven who is eagerly waiting with open arms wanting us to just simply ask for help, but we feel like we don’t need him. We may believe that He won’t meet our expectations, and He doesn’t hear or respond when we pray so why bother? We feel like we have made it this far, so we can “figure it out” and keep going.

I have good news. There’s an easier way! Why not lighten the load? Leave your burdens and transgressions and live more freely? You don’t need to be bogged down by life’s troubles.

Our Father in Heaven is so patient and kind, and he loves us so much he refuses to let us go. He has given us the greatest gift of all. He refuses to let us drift from him, so he calls us home. He tries to get our attention any way how, and when we don’t listen, He lets us be. God is a man of free will, He allows us to make our own decisions, and He also allows us to find our way back to him. He will be there waiting.

A parent’s love for their children is never ending, despite their flaws. And as children, especially those hurt and broken, can only go so long without their parents before yearning for that love and guidance, for that protection and comfort from life’s pain.

Matthew 11: 28-30: 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Lighten your load by simply seeking and asking God for guidance. He hears us, he sees us, and he simply wants us to acknowledge him and his work in return.  There is no place too far from God where He cant find you. He is close to the broken hearted. He wants us to call Him and ask for assistance, but when we ask,  we also have to be patient with him. We have to be open and willing to receive what He has in store, because it may not happen overnight.

Nothing good worth having comes easy, but when we put in the work and get our hands dirty, God will handle the rest. He has to ensure that he can trust us with his riches, because his words are yes and Amen. He will ensure that we have everything we need, but the lessons need to be taught first. We have to learn so we don’t repeat the same mistakes, so we can be ready for the next level.  He has to position us in a certain way and humble us to certain measures so we can be ready to receive all the blessings he has to offer as we progress in life.

For God is good and only does good and if you stay faithful to him, even when you can’t see, even when life doesn’t make sense, wake up every day and devote your day to him. Acknowledge that he is working. The journey is slow and steady and every day won’t be a good day, but stay at his feet, even with tears in your eyes and anger filled in your heart. God wants us to be honest with him. He understands our mistrials. Vent to him, ask him for help, and He WILL provide.

This 2020 year has been full of tragedy to say the least. But all in all, God is with us. He sees the chaos that we are going through, but this is nothing that He cannot handle.  This was all a part of the plan. God is working and shifting so many of us, and doing well at it. Like a giant Sims game, God is directing and ordaining all of these parts simultaneously and making sure all the pieces of the puzzle fit together.

The best gift of all is the undying unwavering and faithful love God grants us. Even when we fall short, his love doesn’t change. Even when we feel like we don’t deserve it, he gives it to us anyway. He can never not love us for our misfortunes. Be willing to move, bend, and shake for the kingdom of God, because there is nothing greater or sweeter or better than the love he so graciously gives us every day. The greatest gift of all.

Blasian Baby Lola – Taking the Millennial Game Over

Lola Ann Clark known internationally as “Blasian Baby Lola”, is a serial entrepreneur, artist and entertainer. Born and raised in South Jersey, she has taken the internet world by storm. Appearing in countless Ads, Commercials, and print work for major brands.

Outside of building her international brand, Lola is a scholar student in high school. She used her knowledge and influence to start and amazing club for girls called “C.R.O.W.N.S. For Queens”. She also spends time visiting local middle schools mentoring and empowering young teens.

After going viral online with over 3million views for her fake piercing video, she used that experience to start her new brand “Catfish Baddies”, a online jewelry store selling magnetic accessories that provides the piercing look without the pain.

Lola has a lot of big things coming up in music and entrepreneurship:

At 17 years old, you have quite the track record. You are a Model, actress, singer, social media influencer, songwriter, entrepreneur, and most importantly, a role model in your community.

LR: The C.R.O.W.N.S. for Queens Club sounds like an amazing club. What do the initials stand for? What prompted you to start this club in high school? What is the reasoning behind it?

B: The meaning behind C.R.O.W.N for queens is all the characteristics a woman should carry:

Confidence, Responsibility, Optimism, Warm-hearted, Neat, and so much more. I started this club in high school because so much drama occurs in high school, especially with females. A club that builds women together and teaches them skills for future life situations and career goals was such an amazing idea to bring to the table and create because not a lot of schools have this.

LR: Catfished Baddiez is your jewelry line. I love the name, and it’s pretty catchy! What’s the backstory on such a fly name?

B: Catfished Baddiez was created after I went viral on a YouTube video of me doing my own fake belly button piercing. The video skyrocketed with views of over 3 million on YouTube. I decided to put things in my own hands and create my own jewelry line of magnetic Swarovski Crystal fake piercings for people to purchase if they would like to have a piercing without having to pierce their actual skin. The name’s meaning is to have a no pain piercing but still have the same look to be the baddie you want to be!

LR: Where can your items be found?

B: You can find and purchase my products from

LR: What does your brand represent?

B: My brand itself as BlasianBabyLola, represents self-confidence as well as uplifting woman and woman empowerment.

LR: You’re 17 years old and have accomplished so much in a short amount of time. What advice do you have for other teens who aspire to have a brand like you?

B: My advice to other teens is to continue to be yourself and stay consistent with whatever you want to do in life.

LR: What new things do you have on the horizon?

B: I have a lot of projects that I am working on as well as things regarding my music. And more importantly, just creating content for my supporters and working on my career for the future.

LR: Lastly, what is one thing that you want readers to know?

B: I want my readers to know to always be yourself and don’t let anyone stop you from the things you want to do. I have a lot of things coming for this year so stay tuned!

In Partnership with Reebok, DTLR Hosts Holiday Givebacks

DTLR has always been my store of choice in the DC Metro Area for new shoes and gear starting back when I moved to Alexandria, VA from South Carolina. DTLR stores were the epicenter of what was going on in the community with the local celebrities and in store giveaways on the radio with major artists coming and doing meet and greets.

I had a chance to ask DTLR about why the Holiday Givebacks are important and per Shawn Caesar, VP of Marketing , “As you know, DTLR is always active in the community. With so many people being affected by this year’s challenges, we know that the holidays can be extremely stressful. Many families simply do not have the means to do as much for the holidays and in knowing that, we have the responsibility to give back and be involved.”

The first two events were held in Chicago, IL and in North Carolina — The Final Stop will be in the Nation’s Capitol Washington, DC on December 18, 2020.

Reebok and DTLR partnered with community organizations and plans to give away a total of (90) bicycles and bikes to boys and girls less fortunate this holiday season. The give back has takes place in three cities gifting (30) kids with a bicycle ranging from ages 5–14. This past Sunday, December 13th, Chicago kicked off the giveaway at DTLR Marshfield Plaza — 11730 S. Marshfield Ave. Chicago, IL 60643. Kids from Roseland Christian Shelter, CPS Schools Dubois and Carver were gifted with bikes. The next location was North Carolina on Wednesday December 16th.

In addition to the Holiday Giveback, DTLR has a Big Christmas Giveaway! As a part of this years’ Christmas campaign, DTLR is giving away prizes every day. Some of the prizes include PS5s, ATV, bikes, gift cards and more. For more information on how to participate visit us at

The DTLR & Reebok Holiday Giveback coincides with the release of Reebok’s latest sneaker Question Mid Street Sleigh which drops Friday, December 18th. It’s a red patent leather shoe inspired by the biker lifestyle. The shoe retails at $180. Sold at DTLR stores and on-line at
